Pre-School

We have no formal faith formation program for pre-school-aged children.

Magnificat Moms - Thursdays from 9:30-11:30am

St. Luke offers Magnificat Moms, a moms' playgroup named in honor of our Blessed Mother’s “YES” to God and her example of motherhood. Our moms meet most Thursday mornings from 9:30am-11:30am, typically in the nursery.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Pre-K children (4+) are always welcome to participate in our Vacation Bible School every summer.
VBS Monumental is happening June 20th-24th, 2022 from about 8:30am-12pm. Children aged 4 through rising 5th grade are welcome to participate as campers, and youth who are rising sixth grade through graduated seniors are welcome to volunteer as assistants. For volunteer's with children ages 0-3, we will have a nursery available. Please use the links below to register as a camper or a youth/adult volunteer.

Elementary Faith Formation & Youth Sacramental Preparation

Faith Formation registration is open year-long to all who wish to participate. The Faith Formation fee is $70 per child.
This is a one-time registration and fee that encompasses Elementary Faith Formation, Sacraments, and Youth Minsitry.

Elementary (K-5) - Sundays from 9:45-10:45am

• Our Kindergarten class uses  Word of Life (Augustine Institute | Ignatius Press).
• Our 1st - 5th grade classes use  Faith and Life Series (Ignatius Press).

Sacramental Preparation - Sundays from 9:45-10:45am + Retreats

Sacramental Prep is a two-year program for both First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion and Confirmation.
There are no additional Sacrament fees for any sacrament.
Registration for Sacraments is due by October 1st.

• First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion - Children must be registered for 1st and 2nd grade Faith Formation and participate in both the Reconciliation and Holy Communion retreats.  
• Children baptized in the Catholic Church may receive these sacraments after 2nd grade.
• Confirmation - Youth may register for Year 1 beginning in 7th grade and Year 2 beginning in 8th grade. Year 2 youth must participate in the retreat and interviews.
• RCIC - The Rite of Christian Inititiation of Children is for those children (7+) who need to be baptized or who were baptized outside of the Catholic Faith and desire to be received into full communion with the Catholic Church. To participate, please contact our Director of Faith Formation (Rebecca Dobner).

Youth Ministry Registration

This is a one-time registration and fee that encompasses Elementary Faith Formation, Sacraments, and Youth Minsitry.

Carpe Diem (Middle School) - Sundays from 4-6pm

6th-8th graders are invited to come to Carpe Diem, our middle school youth group. We meet most Sunday afternoons, September to June, from 4pm-6pm. At weekly meetings, our focus is growing in our Catholic faith through talks, small groups, and prayer; we also include time for relational ministry by playing games and socializing with snacks. In addition to meetings, we provide service projects, socials, and lock-ins which help middle schoolers experience and live their faith.

Vita Nova (High School) - Sundays from 4-6pm

9th-12th graders are invited to come to Vita Nova, our high school youth group. We meet most Sunday evenings, September to June, from 6:30pm-8:30pm.  At weekly meetings, our focus is growing in our Catholic faith through talks, small groups, and prayer; we also include time for relational ministry by playing games and socializing with snacks. Additionally, we participate in service projects, weekend retreats, week-long mission trips, weekend Conferences, and lock-ins which help high schoolers experience and live their faith.

Summer Youth Nights (Middle + High School)

From June to August, rising 6th graders through graduated seniors are invited to join us Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm. We begin by reading and discussing the upcoming Sunday Mass readings, then spend the remainder of our night playing games. There are no fees associated with summer youth nights.

ADULT FAITH FORMATION

Adult Faith Formation

At St. Luke, we have many opportunities to build, grow, and form your faith as an adult. Every year we offer bible studies, theological studies, men’s and women’s study groups, and various thematic sessions throughout the year. Becoming Catholic (RCIA)

Adults who wish to be enter the Catholic Church do so through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). The RCIA is a process of spiritual growth and learning about Catholicism. Through the RCIA, you are invited to enter into a relationship with God and the Church.

• Those who go through the RCIA and desire to become Christians prepare for Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion.
• Those who are already baptized and desire to become Catholic prepare for First Reconciliation, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion.
