It is the policy of St. Luke The Evangelist Catholic Church to allow the use of information displays and activities in the Gathering Space prior to and after weekend services by all its various ministries when faithful Catholic issues, services, educational programs, and sale items are promoted.
We reserve the right to deny or change any request that is not in keeping with the vision for our parish or that would not be advisable at the current time due to spiritual or practical matters.
Important Note - please be respectful of the Rosary Prayers and other prayerful activities being conducted in the church prior to and after Mass when using the gathering space.
To ensure that all displays and activities in the gathering space are best coordinated and consistent with our vision, the following guidelines have been prepared:
Information Display Tables and Activity Requests
Information display tables and activities must be approved in advance by contacting the Gathering Space Coordinator (see bulletin or website for contact information.)
Requests should be in writing/email, including sponsor ministry, dates requested (alternative dates, if possible) and brief description of information display and/or activity.
Display table and brochures/hand outs need to be appropriate and well presented.
Requests must be made at least two weeks prior to event, earlier notice is preferred.
Scheduling is typically on a first request basis, but time sensitive requests and other conflicts
may result in scheduling changes.
Table displays and activities will be allowed for a maximum of two consecutive weekends.
For the infrequent circumstance when a request is made by a non-St. Luke ministry, usage must
be approved by the Gathering Space Coordinator in conjunction with the Pastor.
Number and Location of Information Display Tables/Activities
The number of display tables/activities in the gathering space will be limited to no more than two at one time in either the gathering space or on the sidewalk outside.
If only one table is scheduled, the table may set-up on either side of the gathering space.
If two tables are set-up in the gathering space, they must be arranged so as to have one on the
right side and one the left side of the entry of the doors as you enter into the church. The tables
cannot be arranged as to block the flow of persons entering or exiting the church.
If desired, tables may be set-up outside if they do not block pedestrian passage.
Larger displays and activities may request use of the Parish Hall, or be directed there.
Table Display Set-up and Takedown Timing
Availability/location of tables should be confirmed the week prior to display.
Table displays must be set-up on Saturday between 4:00-4:45pm and may be left up overnight.
Tables must be dismantled and put away promptly after the last Sunday Mass.
